One day, you see a news report saying that chocolate is good for you. The next day, someone publishes a study claiming the complete opposite. Who can you turn to? Who can you trust? Who should you believe when it comes to nutritional advice?

To find answers to all your questions and clarify your doubts, you need to educate yourself and utilize your own judgment. Moreover, you MUST understand that when something sounds TOO good to be true, it’s usually NOT true. Don’t fall for marketing gimmicks and always use common sense!

SOURCES YOU CAN TRUST

Dr. Fuhrman is someone I greatly admire. I've learned a LOT from him and I highly recommend his products. Make sure to visit his site and consider buying his book Feeding Kids Right to get all the information you need to raise healthy children.

He is the author of seven books including the New York Times bestseller Eat to Live: The Amazing Nutrient-Rich Program for Fast and Sustained Weight Loss and his newest release Super Immunity: The Essential Nutrition Guide for Boosting your Body's Defenses to Live Longer, Stronger and Disease Free. As one of the country's leading experts in nutritional and natural healing, Dr. Fuhrman's articles, case studies, and advice are widely published, from medical journals such as the University of Pennsylvania Journal of Orthopedics and Nutrition Journal, to consumer publications such as Mothering Magazine and Health Science. He has appeared on hundreds of radio and television shows including: ABC, CBS, NBC, FOX, CNN, Today, Good Morning America, the Discovery Channel, TV Food Network, and the Dr. Oz Show. His own television program, 3 Steps to Incredible Health!, directly addresses the crisis of obesity and chronic disease plaguing America and helps support PBS stations nationwide” (Dr. Fuhrman, 2012).

MY FAVORITE BLOGS & APPS

Carrie on Vegan is a blog about whole food, plant-based living. Carrie Forrest started this blog to reflect her change to a healthy, vegan lifestyle. While there are many other excellent vegan food blogs out there, Carrie on Vegan is different in that she uses a minimal amount of added oils, sugar or salt in her recipes. This blog is a GREAT resource for parents who want to learn how to make whole food, plant-based meals that are nutritious and delicious!

Vegan Delish is an App with Carrie’s amazing recipes and I highly recommend it. You can purchase it from the App Store for only $1.99. The application includes different categories with over 70 recipes and once you purchase it, you’ll have access to new recipes added monthly.

Go to the recipe tap to see some of her recipes and make sure to visit her blog http://www.carrieonvegan.com/ and check out her Recipe App http://www.vegandelish.com/.

Fooducate is an App that automatically scans a product's barcode to analyze the information found in its nutrition panel and ingredient list. This GREAT App helps you compare products and select better alternatives while teaching about food and nutrition.

Go to http://www.fooducate.com/ for more information and visit their blog http://blog.fooducate.com/ for daily tips.

More resouces coming SOON!!!
